This quirky tongue in cheek illustrated coffee book, was intended to be used as marketing collateral in a social media awareness campaign, emailer, OOH digital billboards, and later to be used as printed merchandise for current and future clients.
It showcases some interesting and funny illustrations of lies throughout pop culture, with a business related twist at the end. I had a lot of fun with the illustrations, from a embarrassed alien, to a vampire with excuses, these lies are sure to make you crack a smile. A perfect way to break the ice with some humor and make a lasting impression when presented to any client.
For the colour pallet I primarily focussed on black and white illustrations using only 3 vibrant colours from the clients colour pallet as accent colours.
I found this free font designed by Tup Wanders that I absolutely love. I think it adds personality to the page and it fits quite nicely with the illustration style.
I created Honesty to represent the fragility of a lie, it looks bulky but if you look closer you can see it chipping and shattering away. I primarily used this typeface as a way to highlight the lies within the book. Colour coding the typeface with each illustration.
